At Black Knight, we believe a young person's experiences may help us understand where they have been, but their past should never determine the limits of where they can go.

Black Knight Behavioral Resources is currently developing a youth residential program designed to provide a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment for adolescents who need additional support as they prepare for successful transition into their families and communities.
The planned program is being developed for youth who may have experienced trauma, instability, abuse, behavioral challenges, difficult life circumstances, or involvement with the juvenile justice system.

More Than a Place to Stay

The Black Knight residential program is being designed to provide more than temporary housing.
The goal is to create an environment where young people can experience consistency, establish healthy relationships, strengthen decision-making abilities, continue their education, develop practical life skills, receive appropriate support, and begin preparing for a productive future.

DEVELOPMENT - Creates Change

Youth will be challenged and supported in developing self-awareness, accountability, emotional regulation, decision-making, communication, healthy relationships, education, life skills, resilience, and confidence.

TRANSITION - Gives the Work Purpose

Everything learned within the residential environment should ultimately help prepare young people for life beyond the program - in their families, schools, workplaces, relationships, and communities.

Planned Program Focus

The goal is not simply to help a young person successfully complete a residential program.
The goal is to help that young person develop the internal tools necessary to successfully navigate life after the program

The developing residential model is intended to incorporate structured residential support, trauma-informed care, behavioral and emotional support, medical-care coordination, educational support, accountability and decision-making, healthy relationship development, life and independent-living skills, family/support-system engagement, community involvement, and transition planning.
